CURRENT EVENT: Featured Deviation CONTEST!

Yami: Since we have gotten our first (non-creator) deviation, I have decided to call a contest for the spot of the "Featured Deviation" on our page. The prize? Well, you'll be featured on our front page! XD

The rules are simple...Just follow by whatever the club rules are. Any art is eligible, as long as it is obviously incomplete. You may draw anything you wish. However, please do not draw any club IDs! We will have a contest for that later.

When we have deviations from at least 5 different deviants, we (Angel and I) will decide on which is to be featured. In the future, we will have a "judge panel" to decide, or let the club vote, but because the club is so small at this point, biases may be easily formed and I personally want the best piece of art to win, not the most popular.

What is our purpose?

We exsist for those artists who are hesitant to post incomplete works of art, or those who do not even bother to finish their planned masterpieces due to time restraints, artists' block, or anything of the like. We are here to create a friendly environment where DA members may post incomplete, sketchy, sloppy, or pointless works and still get the same quality criticism and love as perfected deviations do. After all, must art always be a finished masterpiece?

What do you guys do?

Basically, this is just a place for us artists to hang out and comment others art, before they're finished. It's also a nice place to showcase your incomplete art without feeling inferior. We will also have contests with prizes (including the "featured deviation" spot)!

What are the rules?

No junk. Although we love incomplete works, we do not wish to get "junk". Junk is anything that basically has no shape or form and has the appearance of being random (scribbles, a bunch of words, etc). What is submitted must have some form, meaning we must be able to tell what it is and see that a little time was put into it. Of course, we have abstract artists to consider, but I think it will be pretty obvious if you just made random lines or whatever versus thinking up a concept for those lines.

Be appropriate. That means no sexual pieces of art, no nudity (yami: I personally dont mind, but some don't like it), no exploit texts, etc. In other words, if you feel it has to be classified as having "Mature content", do not submit it!

Be nice. When giving comments and such, be nice. I think that's already defined in the DA rules, but we see you being mean to others (whether you think it's mean or not), we will remove your membership.

Follow DA's rules. For anything that's not covered here, refer to the rules outlined in DA.

How do I join?

Send a note to this account with the subject heading "join club". You don't have to write anything in the actual note. We'd also like you to put us on your DevWatch so you can keep up with any updates and announcements.

We will DevWatch you, but please don't expect any extra comments(yami: I will personally comment you through my account). It is just an easier way for us to manage and access our members.

How do I submit art?

Send a note to this account with a link to your deviation you wish to be submitted. You must also include a title and keywords! If you do not, we will make them up ourselves and you cannot complain. If you have any artists comments you'd like to have posted on the deviation (on this club's page), please put those in the note under a label "my comments".

Note: We would only like one "incomplete version" of each picture. That means, no multiple pictures of the same thing (like "this is a frog sketch", then "this is a frog sketch with a little green on it" and then "this is a frog sketch with green and red dots on it" and then...etc)! So, be careful on which incomplete picture you'd like to submit! However, we will allow you to add links to any other "variants" of the same picture in your deviation's description. Just send us a note labeled "deviation update", stating WHICH deviation you'd like us to label with an "updated tag".
